New Zealand Institute of Colonic Therapy
Training and Curriculum Overview
The Training Programme covers nine intensive days. Commencing at 8.30am, each morning and completing later into the evening. It is important you come well prepared and with comfortable, appropriate clothing.

Student numbers are limited to ensure that each and every student of NZICH get exemplary tuition, exceptional education & learning opportunities and a highly valuable level of service. Classes fill quickly so please register early to ensure your place in the programme.

While colonic therapy training is often available as continuing education for health professionals, it’s not necessary to have a health background to study colonic therapy. Our colonic hydrotherapy education provides both a theoretical and a practical component. During your practical training you will learn to set up, use and clean your equipment. You’ll also focus on client care including proper draping procedure and identifying indications / contraindications for colonic hydrotherapy.

The practice of colonic hydrotherapy is currently not specifically regulated in New Zealand and other countries world wide however in the United States there is the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) which we are very much guided by and members of. We have also attempted to exceed the standards as prescribed by I-ACT in the absence of a regulatory body in New Zealand to ensure that all programmes and services are accepted as the industry standard.
