New Zealand Institute of Colonic Therapy
Minimum Standards & Certification
Requirements and Examinations
NZICH is an education organisation dedicated to a highly professional and rigorous learning process that encompasses both the necessary academic knowledge and adequate practical application so that Colonic Hydrotherapy Graduates are able to provide the best possible outcomes for their colonic clients. The ultimate aim being to ensure that the safety of clients and practitioners is constantly maintained at an exceptional level.

The process to becoming a qualified NZICH Colonic Hydrotherapist is outlined below. Prerequisites are not negotiable and certified documents or evidence must be provided before any formal enrolment process can be commenced. Currently there are five levels of certification available with an Instructors level being developed.

NZICH has developed an “open” system. “purify” is a state of the art colonic hydrotherapy system. Colonic Hydrotherapy students who have never trained in this field before will cover the use of this colonic hydrotherapy system in their Foundation Level training. If you are a trained Colonic Hydrotherapist with at least I-ACT colonic hydrotherapy membership and have completed your training with a training provider that is / was affiliated to I-ACT and would like to work where there is a NZICH “purify” colonic hydrotherapy system then you will need to complete our NZICH Level 2 training in order to be recognised as an approved practitioner to use the “purify” colonic hydrotherapy system. If you are wanting to purchase the NZICH “purify” colonic hydrotherapy system to either create a business opportunity or add this treatment to your existing business then the training and the purchase must be done concurrently.

The NZICH “purify” colonic hydrotherapy system may only be purchased once the appropriate training and respective successful graduation has been achieved.

*PLEASE NOTE: The only recognised prior learning accepted by NZICH is Colonic Hydrotherapy training from an I-ACT approved School and / or an I-ACT Certified Instructor.

In some instances, proof of a minimum of one year of practice with documentation of at least 100 colonic hydrotherapy sessions may be recognised and will be assessed on application.
